Nationwide Handyman Services, One Call Away
Nation Handyman is a national referral network for home repairs and installations. Call (877) 705-6325, tell us what needs fixing, and we match you with an independent local pro who does that work in your area — no searching, no phone tag, no guesswork.
Referral and dispatch service — work is performed by independent local providers who are responsible for their own licensing, insurance, and work quality.

How does the Nation Handyman referral service work?
You call one national number, describe the job, and we match you with an independent local handyman provider who serves your area. The provider confirms price and timing with you directly, does the work, and stands behind it — Nation Handyman handles the matching, not the tools.
- You call and describe the job. A few details — what it is, where you are, and how urgent it feels — are enough to route the request correctly.
- We match you with a local pro. Your job goes to an independent provider in the network who covers your area and takes that category of work, from a single repair to a full-day punch list.
- The pro confirms and completes the work. You approve the provider's quote and schedule before anything starts. Payment and workmanship sit with the provider, and we follow up on the match.

Not sure which category your job fits? That is normal — a sticking door might be carpentry, hardware, or weatherproofing. Describe the problem on the call and the match will route it; or start from general home repair and book a punch-list visit that clears several small jobs at once.
Common problems we match every week
Most calls are not emergencies or renovations — they are the everyday failures that make a house feel broken. A sample of what homeowners book through the network:
- The toilet that runs every few minutes, and the faucet that drips all night — handled under faucet and toilet repair.
- Doors that stick every summer, sag on their hinges, or refuse to latch — see door repair and adjustment.
- Drywall holes from doorknobs, movers, and plumbing access cuts, patched and texture-matched via drywall repair.
- Black, split shower caulk and crumbling grout letting water into the wall — caulk and grout renewal stops it.
- Gutters overflowing in every storm, quietly rotting the fascia — booked as gutter cleaning and minor repair.
- The new TV, fan, or video doorbell still sitting in its box — installed through TV mounting, ceiling fan installation, or smart device installation.
What counts as a handyman job — and what does not
Handyman work is the wide middle of home maintenance: repairs, installations, adjustments, and finishing jobs that need skill and tools but not a permit, a crew, or a licensed trade. If a job can be described in one sentence and finished in a day or less, it probably belongs here — and a single punch-list visit can clear a surprising amount of it.
The honest boundary matters as much as the list. Work on electrical panels and new circuits, gas lines, sewer and water mains, structural framing, roofing systems, and full renovations belongs to licensed specialists and permitted contractors. When a call describes that kind of work, dispatch says so plainly and points you the right way rather than matching you with the wrong pro — that honesty is part of what the network's standards mean in practice.
Where Nation Handyman operates today
The network is launching city by city, starting with 5 pilot cities chosen where local handyman markets are active and underserved. Each pilot city has its own pages for all 21 services, written around that city's housing stock, climate, and licensing rules — start from your state:
- Handyman services in Nevada
- Handyman services in Oregon
- Handyman services in South Carolina
- Handyman services in Texas
The complete index of states, cities, and services lives on the coverage page. If your city is not live yet, call (877) 705-6325 anyway — launch order follows demand, and requests from a new area are the fastest way to move it up the list.

How providers are screened before they take your job
Nation Handyman is a referral network, and a referral is a promise about standards. Before a provider receives matches, the network confirms the basics that matter: the provider is a real, operating local business; carries the licensing their state and scope of work require; carries insurance; and agrees to the network's working standards — quote before work starts, show up when scheduled, communicate changes, and stand behind the job.
Two limits are stated plainly, because honesty is part of the standard. Providers are independent businesses, not Nation Handyman employees, and their licenses and insurance are their own — never ours. And when a job crosses into licensed-trade territory (panel work, gas lines, sewer lines, structural changes), we say so and point you to the right specialist instead of forcing it into a handyman visit. More about the model is on our about page.

Three ways to get a repair done
| Approach | How it works | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| Find a pro yourself | Search directories, compare listings, call around, and vet whoever answers. | You control everything — and carry all the searching, screening, and follow-up yourself. |
| Nation Handyman referral | One call describes the job; we match it to an independent local pro in the network. | The pro quotes and performs the work; the network handles matching and standards. |
| Do it yourself | Buy the tools and materials and spend your own weekend. | Right for genuinely simple tasks; risky for anything involving ladders, wiring, water, or weight overhead. |
Whichever route you choose, the service pages on this site explain each job honestly — scope, process, and typical national cost ranges — so you can decide with real information. Start with the step-by-step of how matching works or browse services and coverage.
Frequently asked questions
How does Nation Handyman work?
Call the national dispatch line, describe your job, and we match you with an independent local service provider who covers your area and does that type of work. The provider confirms the appointment and price with you, performs the work, and is responsible for its quality. Nation Handyman is the referral network that makes and supports the connection.
Is Nation Handyman itself a contractor?
No. Nation Handyman does not perform contracting or trade services and does not employ technicians. We are a referral and dispatch network: the work is performed by independent local providers who carry their own licensing, insurance, and responsibility for the job.
How much will my job cost?
The provider who takes your job sets the price and confirms it with you before work begins — there are no surprise charges from Nation Handyman for the match. Nationally, handyman work often runs about $200 to $400 for a half day of punch-list work and single repairs are priced per task; your provider's quote is the number that counts.
Are the providers licensed and insured?
Providers in the network are independent businesses responsible for their own licensing and insurance, and our standard is to match you with pros who hold the credentials their scope of work requires in your state. For licensed trades — electrical, plumbing lines, HVAC, gas — we will tell you plainly that the job belongs with a licensed specialist.
Which areas do you cover?
Wave one covers 5 pilot cities across 4 states — Reno, Greenville, Corpus Christi, Lubbock, and Eugene — listed on our coverage page, with matching available as local pros join in surrounding areas. If your city is not listed yet, call anyway: coverage expands by demand, and your request is how new cities get prioritized.
What kinds of jobs can I book?
Repairs, installations, and maintenance in 21 service categories — from TV mounting, drywall repair, and ceiling fans to bathroom repairs, gutter cleaning, and full punch lists. Very large projects, structural work, and licensed-trade scopes are honestly referred onward rather than squeezed into a handyman visit.
